KOKRAJHAR, OCT 30: The 13th Sukhanjhora Mili Juli Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja was concluded on Monday after a three day programme being held at SK Jeowary ME School playground in Kokrajhar.
The statue of Goddess Lakshmi Devi was seen decorated with attire traditional Bodo dokhona and jwmgra that attracted the visitor and puja thronging peoples during the occasion.
A Brahma Joghyahuti was also performed where devotees and Goddess Lakshmi Devi thronged to offer their worship and prayers to the almighty Goddess.
A puja mela programme was organised that gathered a well gathering from different parts of the area.
A cultural evening was organised on Sunday evening to mark the Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja celebration where large numbers of cultural troupes participants and showcased their cultural activities.
Hantigiri Narzary, UPPL media secretary and senior journalist inaugurated the cultural evening amidst presence of huge gathering.
He has highlighted about the celebration of Lakshmi Puja amongst the citizens, said that the Puja festival gives an environment to worship and devotion to the almighty God/Goddess and subsequently the puja festival is being organised with traditional phenomenon.
He has extended his puja greetings to all citizens of state on the holy occasion of Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja and wishes a happy Lakshmi Puja.
Among others, Rwhw Rwhw Mushahary, chairman of Sukhanjhora VCDC, Dante Basumatary, UPPL Sukhanjhora primary committee president, Bilifang Boro, social worker were prominent attendees in the event.
