CEM of BTR Pramod Boro Distributes Land Titles to 1,245 Families in Parbatjhora

KOKRAJHAR, MAY 29: In a landmark step towards securing land rights for the people of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR),Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) handed over Land titles to 1,245 landless families at a ceremonial Land Settlement Certificates distribution event held at the Kazigaon Garopara Youth Sports Club Playground under Parbatjhora subdivision on Thursday.

 This marks the first large-scale land title distribution in the subdivision and reflects the BTC administration’s unwavering commitment to justice and inclusive development.

Addressing the gathering,CEM Pramod Boro re-iterated their commitment to ensuring that no family remains landless. He announced that over 1,500 families in Parbatjhora remain to be covered, and they will be receiving their land certificates by July 10.

Furthering this momentum, the second phase of the Bwiswmuthi initiative—Bwiswmuthi 2.0—is set to be launched in June. This upgraded phase will accelerate the land title distribution process, ensuring efficiency and fairness in identifying and reaching remaining beneficiaries.

CEM Boro stated that the government of BTR has been extending the land titlement certificates amongst the needy citizens.
” The land titlement certificates are being distributed under the mission of securing the Land Rights of the people of Bodoland region. For the first time in Parbatjhora, 1,245 landless families received land titles at the Ceremonial Distribution of Land Settlement Certificates which I attended today.
Further,he said that in the coming days, the government of BTR will be distributing more land titles, ensuring that no landless family is left behind”, he said.

Ranjit Basumatary, EM, BTC; Madhab Ch. Chetry, MCLA, BTC; Devajyoti Gogoi, SDO(C) Parbatjhora, along with other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
