Pramod Boro lays foundation stone for Birsa Munda Cultural Complex in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR,FEB 13: Marking a significant step towards the welfare and development in Bodoland region,Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Region laid the foundation stone to construct Birsa Munda Cultural Complex at Dakshin Karigaon in Kokrajhar district on Thursday.

Notably, this complex, promised in the historic BTR  Peace Accord signed on 27th January,2020, will honor the legacy of Birsa Munda and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Adivasi community in Bodoland region.
” I’m very much glad to have laid the foundation stone for the Birsa Munda Cultural Complex at Dakhin Karigaon in  Kokrajhar today. Our BTR is home to many vibrant & diverse communities, and this upcoming complex will act as a grand platform to showcase all their unique traditional art forms, language, and heritage, further fostering harmony and unity in BTR”, CEM Boro said.

” Since coming to power our government has worked tirelessly to bring every community together by promoting unity and development for all. The progress we see today is the result of collective efforts and the unwavering love and support from the people. Together, we are building a future of harmony, inclusivity, and shared prosperity in BTR”, Boro further stated.

Among others MLA Lawrence Islary, BTR executive members, Ranjit Basumatary, Wilson Hasda, MCLA Madhab Chandra Chetry were present in the event.
