KOKRAJHAR,FEB 13: Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) inaugurated the newly constructed Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Auditorium at Bodoland University, Debargaon in Kokrajhar on Thursday.
The state-of-the-art two-storey auditorium, with a seating capacity of 1,200, is expected to serve as a major venue for academic, cultural, and community events in the university.
The Bodoland University is regarded as a premier educational institution in Bodoland region,and rendering services towards the educational upliftment.
The Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Auditorium is named after the eminent Bodo cultural figure Nileswar Brahma, who was a celebrated singer, poet, lyricist, and social worker.
Recognized as one of the leaders of the Bodo cultural movement, Brahma’s contributions to literature and music have left a lasting impact on Bodo society.
Speaking the gathering, CEM Pramod Boro emphasized the role of educational institutions in shaping the future of Bodoland. He highlighted the importance of such infrastructure in promoting education, arts, and cultural exchange, expressing hope that the auditorium would become a key center for learning and community engagement in the region.
” I’m delighted to inaugurate the newly built Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Auditorium Hall at Bodoland University, today. Equipped with a seating capacity of 1200 and modern amenities, the auditorium will enhance the university’s academic and cultural infrastructure, and provide a more holistic learning experience for students”, Boro said.
The authorities of the Bodoland University have expressed their gratitude and sincere thanks to the government of Bodoland Territorial Region for facilitating the auditorium while rendering welfare services for the university.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by BTC executive member, Ranjit Basumatary, Bodoland University Vice-Chancellor Prof. BL Ahuja, Registrar Dr. Subung Basumatary, faculty members, students, and other several dignitaries.
