KOKRAJHAR,MAY 30: A total 13 students of top ten ranking in the recent declared results of HSLC 2023 final examination in Bodo medium were conferred 17th Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Bantha 2023 at a programme held at Govt HS & MP School playground in Kokrajhar today.
The award has been instituted by All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) in memory of noted writer, academician, former president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Kamal Kumar Brahma.
Each of top ten ranking student was offered warm felicitation and conferred the Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Bantha.
The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) has extended their congratulations to all the students for clearing HSLC final examination, 2023 conducted by SEBA in Assam. The students union specially extend regards to the Bodo medium students those who passed the HSLC 2023 examination, where 13,940 have passed out of 16,584 appeared across the state. From amongst the passing out 13940 students, 3503 passed in first division, 7603 second and 2834 third divisions respectively.
This year, Bodo medium student’s overall pass percentage HSLC has been reached out 84.56 percentage that seen a good height of the Bodo medium students.
Notably, the students union has started it’s mission skill and quality education in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
” The Mission Skill and Quality Education programme by ABSU will continue as it started in the year of Education in 2006, Mission Quality 2007 to 2020 and Mission Skill and Quality Education 2021 to 2025. After the massive campaign for skill and quality education amongst the Bodo medium students and encouraging the mother tongue education. Ever since 2006 the class X Bodo medium students are accounted for the award selecting the top 10 highest marks obtaining students as the token of encouragement across the state”.
Principal of KK Handique senior secondary school, Pathsala, Dr Manoj Kalita graced as chief guest on the award presentation ceremony which was chaired by Khwrwmdao Wary, vice president of ABSU.
Dr Kalita has lauded the students union for organizing the award giving as well felicitation ceremony amongst the HSLC top ten ranking in Bodo medium students. He has expressed his hopeful that the event will encourage the students while acquiring higher educational careers in their life. He has urged the student fraternities to be hard dedicated while building a successful life in near future.
President of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Dr Surath Narzary, Director of UN Academy, Kokrajhar Krishna Gopal Basumatary, chairman of Upendra Nath Brahma Trust Dr Subung Basumatary, MLA of Kokrajhar East LAC, Lawrence Islary, BTR executive members Dr Nilut Swargiary, Ranjit Basumatary were prominent attendees in the event.
