NTPC signs MoU with BTC Govt

KOKRAJHAR,FEB 12: In a significant initiative to pave way the development and social empowerment, a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU ) was signed on Wednesday between the Government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and NTPC Limited—a partnership that marks another milestone in Bodoland region towards bringing a sustainable development and social empowerment.

The significance ceremony was took place at the BTC Secretariat conference hall, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar in the presence of CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro,and senior officials both from government of BTR and NTPC authority.

Notably, under the MoU, NTPC will collaborate with BTC in various development and welfare aspects which include Bodoland Youth Employment Mission through the establishment of a Space Education Lab, equipping youth with advanced learning opportunities, boat Ambulance Service at Khutabagra to combat home deliveries and reduce maternal & infant mortality in remote riverine areas and promotion of Eri Silk & Handloom Model Village Initiative in Raimona National Park, fostering traditional craftsmanship and rural entrepreneurship.
CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro has hailed the MoU, said that this is an impressive initiative initiated by the NTPC authority towards the ushering of sustainable development aspects in Bodoland region.He said that peoples from the Bodoland region will be benefitted under the initiaves on all frontal areas in days to come.
