Bodo Women Writer’s 15 books unveiled in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, DEC 31: As many as 15 books authored by Bodo women writers were unveiled at a programme held on Monday held at the Nativers Institute of Bodology (NIB) in Kokrajhar.

The event was organised by the Bodo Women Writers’ Association that marked a grand participation of women writers from different areas of Bodoland region.

Dr Surath Narzary, president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, and Dr Adaram Basumatary, principal of Kokrajhar Girls’ College, graced the occasion as guests, and unveiled the books.
The books include nine poetry collections, two short story compilations, and four essays and critical works by notable authors like Anju Basumatary, Virgin Jacoba Muchahary, and Dr. Indira Boro, among others.

Dr Narzary praised the writers for their contribution to Bodo literature and highlighted the cultural importance of their works. He also highlighted the event as a celebration of the accomplishments of Bodo women writers and their impact on literature and the arts.He said that more literary creativity activities must come forward while dedication towards the enrichment of the Bodo literary world.
