BTR’s community vision document unveiling receives applause from communities

KOKRAJHAR,DEC 31: The launching of Community Vision Document of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) have received a well responded amongst cutting across the communities those are residing in Bodoland region.

Notably, the Community Vision Document embodies aspirations of all 26 communities of BTR, a blueprint for collective vision of a Viksit BTR & Viksit Bharat which has been initiated by the government of Bodoland Territorial Region.
On Monday,the governor of Assam, Lakshman Prasad Acharya unveiled the Community Vision Document,in the august presence of Assam Legislative Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary, CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro,and several distinguished dignitaries in Guwahati that witnessed a well attended gathering that representation from 26 different communities in the region.

Different community organizations and individuals have extended their gratitude and thanks to the government of Bodoland Territorial Region and CEM Pramod Boro for taking bold initiative while producing the community vision document for the respective communities those are residing in Bodoland region.

Assam cabinet minister, Atul Bora lauded the community vision document initiative which was initiated by the government of BTR while highlighting the integration and tranquility amongst the communities.
” Today, the BTR show a sustainable peace and tranquility since signing of BTR peace accord in 2020. It was a time a decade ago,everyday the day was welcomed by the breaking news of killing, murder, bombing, kidnapped in BTR, but today the region saw a day of spreading peace and prosperity with dignity tranquility amongst the communities. I laud the CEM of BTR Pramod Boro and BTR government for initiating the venture to have paving the way for bringing healthy welfare and development “, he said.
CEM Pramod Boro stated that the BTR region is now prevailed peace and prosperity since the signing of BTR peace accord in 2020(27th January) as subsequent formation of the present council government.He said that peace has returned and the council government is going to take all communities along with equal justice and development.

He has stated that the Community Vision Document embodies aspirations of all 26 communities of BTR, a blueprint for our collective vision of a Viksit BTR & Visksit Bharat.
“This project aims at sustaining peace and harmony, while also enhancing development opportunities for all the communities. By engaging in ways that honor relationality, respect and dignity of all individuals and communities, this process transects towards acknowledging, documenting and resolving the long-pending issues and unmet aspirations of the tribals and other vulnerable communities. In this way, it seeks to provide a guiding framework to the government and various other agencies for addressing the unique needs and collective goals of the Bodoland region”, CEM Boro added.

” This landmark initiative unites 26 diverse communities towards a shared vision of sustainable peace, harmony, and development”, Brahma said.
Meanwhile, various organisation, leaders from different parties, apart from the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro,All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) president Dipen Boro have extended their new year greetings and best wishes on the eve of Happy New Year, 2025 to all citizens of the Bodoland region as well as state of Assam.
Boro, in his new year greetings, wishes a happy new year and hoped that the coming 2025 year will bring an integrity and unity among all sections of communities in the state. He has expressed his hopeful that may the new year gain up prosperous social uplift in coming days cutting across the communities. He said that the new year must celebrate in a healthy manner with a responsible dignity to welcome the new year.He has made a fervent appealed to all citizens of the society no to drink & drive at any manner.
“Welcome the new year with a Bang, not a crash. Let’s all celebrate the new year by being responsible citizens. Please don’t drink and drive”, Boro said.

ABSU president, Dipen Boro while extending his new year greetings said that may the new year bring a healthy living in the 2025 year and hoped that citizens will be getting new ray of hope and aspiration in the field of social integration.
Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma,Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Dr Surath Narzary have also extended their new year wishes to all citizens of the region as well state as a whole.
