KOKRAJHAR,JAN 28: The elections to the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is likely taking place in September of 2025 itself.
The chief minister of Assam,Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma told the reporters today in Kokrajhar that the general elections to the BTC will be taking place in the month of September (2025). He said that the election will be held within the September or ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations.
CM Sarma also stated that both the party leaders of both BJP and UPPL parties will decide the decision while making understanding or not ahead of the council elections.He said that both party leaders of the BJP and UPPL are preparing necessary steps for the upcoming council elections in Bodoland Territorial Council.
