KOKRAJHAR,MAY 24: The Koch Rajbongshi Sahitya Sabha celebrated its 33rd birth anniversary along with the 16th annual conference with a vibrant three day event held at Chithila in Kokrajhar district on Saturday.
The celebration concluded after marking a grand participation of the citizens and sahitya sabha leaders and activists across the region.
A major highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of 33 numbers of books written in the Koch Rajbongshi language, marking a significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of the community’s rich literary heritage.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Chief of the Kamatapur Autonomous Council, Jibesh Rai, Dr Surath Narzary, Bodo Sahitya Sabha president,KAC chairman Hiteswar Barman and other notable guests who praised the sabha’s dedication to cultural and linguistic preservation.
The celebration featured cultural performances, literary discussions, and community engagements, reflecting the growing interest and pride in Koch Rajbongshi language and literature.
The sabha discussed at length on the welfare and uplift of the Koch Rajbongshi community’s language and literature in the state of Assam.
