KOKRAJHAR, MAY 24: The Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, NTPC Bongaigaon, Salakati under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, donated 123 umbrellas to all students of Chedamari LP School, Kalipukhuri, Kokrajhar.
The initiative aims to support children during the monsoon season by ensuring they can attend school regularly despite adverse weather.
The distribution was held on Saturday led by Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, who personally handed over the umbrellas to the students.
The program was attended by Soumya Kar, Vice President of the club, representatives from the NTPC Bongaigaon, Salakati HR Department, along with members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club.
Krishno Kanta Das, Headmaster of Chedamari LP School, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club, stating that the umbrellas would greatly benefit students who walk long distances to school, often in difficult weather conditions.
