KOKRAJHAR,MAR 30: An assistant mahout working in the Manas National Park has been reportedly sustained serious injuries due to attacked by a wild buffalo.
According to source, a wild buffalo attack at Langdangpara in the Bansbari Range of Manas National Park left one person seriously injured.
The incident took place Saturday evening at the Langdangpara.
The victim, identified as Lakhiram Boro from Rajabil, was working as an assistant to a mahout at the park.
Following the attack, Boro was initially admitted to Salbari Model Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later shifted to Barpeta Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. His condition is now reported to be stable.
This is the second such incident in Manas National Park this month. Earlier, Jeherul Islam, a forest worker from Kalgachia in Barpeta district, stationed at the Bahbari Forest Range, succumbed to his injuries after being severely injured in a wild buffalo attack.
