KOKRAJHAR, MAR 30 : Anjali Daimary,senior leader of opposition BPF party, has resigned from both the post of Secretary and primary membership of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), citing “unavoidable personal reasons.”
On Sunday, Daimary has tendered her resignation letter from the BPF party to the party president and former BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary.
Daimary was former president of the Bodo Women Justice Forum,and rendered her services towards the welfare and rights of the women community across the state.
In her resignation letter addressed to BPF President Hagrama Mohilary, Daimary expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve under his leadership, even if for a short period.
Her resignation comes at a crucial time for the party, ahead of the BTC elections scheduled for September & October next, raising speculations about its impact on the political landscape of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
It need to be mentioned that the BPF party has been set back with exit of several senior leaders of the party including Anjali Daimary for past few days ahead of the upcoming BTC elections.
