KOKRAJHAR,FEB 11: A two-day Eat Right Mela was organised at Kokrajhar Government Higher Secondary & MP School playground in Kokrajhar to raise awareness about the importance of healthy and nutritious food which was concluded on Tuesday.
It was organized by the Food Safety Department, Kokrajhar, under Commissionerate of Food Safety, Assam, in collaboration with Kokrajhar District Administration, which has aimed to raise awareness about the importance of healthy and nutritious food. The Mela also emphasis on promoting millets, given their nutritional value and health benefits. As part of the program, an exhibition of organically grown vegetables, with 30 stalls participating in the showcase.
An awareness rally was organized, which was flagged off by Kokrajhar District Commissioner Masanda Magdalin Pertin.
Hundreds of students from various schools, along with NCC cadets, actively participated in the rally.The event also features food and quiz competitions to engage participants and spread awareness about healthy eating habits.
