KOKRAJHAR,MAR 19: A total of 32,859 beneficiaries from the five districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) will receive the sanction letters for the construction of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
On Wednesday,the ceremonial distribution of the sanction letter was held in Kokrajhar along with rest of the state that marked well attended gathering of the peoples.
In Kokrajhar,the sanction letter distribution of PMAY-G was organised being held at the block development office complex, Titaguri in Kokrajhar for Kokrajhar LAC.
A total of 1146 beneficiaries under Kokrajhar LAC received sanction letters for the construction of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) graced the event and handed over sanction letters to the beneficiaries.
The distribution event was attended by BTR executive members Dr Nilut Swargiary, Arup Kumar Dey, several dignitaries among others.
The PMAY-G scheme, has been aimed at providing pucca houses to eligible rural families, has been a key priority for the government to promote inclusive growth and enhance livelihood opportunities in the region.
CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro stated that the distribution of sanction letters for construction of the PMAY-G is a noble step being initiated by the government of Assam and government of BTR to provide houses for the rural citizens across the state.He said that the governments have initiated several initiatives towards bringing healthy living of the peoples across the region.
” It was a delighted moment to hand over sanction letters under PM Awas Yojana – Grameen to 1,146 beneficiaries under 3 No. Kokrajhar (ST) LAC, bringing them closer to safe and dignified homes. Today, across Assam, 3,38,358 families are realizing their dream of homeownership under HCM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s inspiring leadership, fulfilling Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of housing for all”, Boro said.
The distribution of sanction letters of PMAY-G was also held at Chirang,and other districts of Bodoland Territorial Region.
