KOKRAJHAR, MAY 25: In view of the scorching heat wave across the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) districts, the government of Bodoland Territorial Region has been decided to reschedule the school timings of all Government, Provincialised and Private Elementary, Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools in BTR w.e.f. 27th May, 2024.
The decision has been taken to spare the children from the extreme afternoon heat, and to ensure that students can continue to learn in a conducive environment across the region.
In a notification on Saturday, the department of education, government of BTR has issued a notification in the interest of public wellbeing the normal school timing of govt provincialised and private elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools under Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) has been rescheduled the school timing with effect from 27th May,2024 which are included LP Schools 7.30 AM to 11 AM, UP schools 7.30 AM to 11.30 AM and HS/HS Schools 7.30 AM to 12 Noon.
The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, and in-charge of Education department, Pramod Boro said that the normal school timing has been rescheduled across the BTR districts due to the scorching heat wave in the afternoon.
” In view of the scorching heat wave across BTR, it has been decided to reschedule the school timings of all Government, Provincialised and Private Elementary, Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools in BTR w.e.f. 27th May, 2024.This decision has been taken to spare the children from the extreme afternoon heat, and to ensure that students can continue to learn in a conducive environment”,Boro added.
