KOKRAJHAR,DEC 18: Noted Bodo writer Aron Raja Basumatary has been conferred the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award in the Bodo language for his acclaimed novel Swrni Takai(सोरनि थाखाय?).
Basumatary is one of well known writers of Bodo,and he authored nearly 20 books including novels till date.
He has received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi award for his creation Swrni Takai novel book.
