CEM Boro launches Bodoland Youth Employment Mission

KOKRAJHAR,AUG 21: Stepping towards the fostering an academic revolution as well ushering of sustainable uplift in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of BTR, ceremonially launched the ‘Bodoland Youth Employment Mission(BYEM) on Wednesday at a programme held at the BTC Legislative Assembly Auditorium, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar. 

A dedicated website for the initiative was also unveiled during the programme which witnessed a grand participation of student fraternities,senior government officials.
CEM Pramod Boro while emphasizing the initiatives initiated by the Govt of BTR said that this mission aims to bridge skill gaps among the youth of the region and enhance their employability across the region.

He stated that despite their hard work, some students fail to achieve their dreams due to a lack of proper guidance, motivation, and information. 
” This noble initiative, he has explained, will help change that scenario amongst the citizens in Bodoland region “.
Highlighting the importance of the youth employment mission in current times, CEM Boro asked the common masses to raise awareness about the programme so that as many students as possible can benefit from it. 
He also mentioned that at least two to three smart classrooms will be established in every college in the region in the near future to support students in their educational endeavours. 

A total of 25 colleges and higher secondary schools across Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Tamulpur, and Udalguri will offer weekend coaching sessions. 
Expert professors and government sector specialists will provide subject-specific guidance for various central and state government job opportunities. 
The coaching will cover Grade II and Grade IV positions in the Central Government, State Government, Government of BTR, as well as in Banking, Railways, and Defence. 
Among others, BTCLA speaker, Katiram Boro, MCLA and Political Secretary to CEM(BTR ), Madhab Ch. Chetry, Director of the BTC Education Department Jagdish Prasad Brahma were prominent attendees in the event.
A large number of students from various colleges enthusiastically participated in the program.
