ABSU eyes justice to the Dudhnoi gang rape & murder case

KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 28: The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) has intensified the massive protest against the Dudhnoi gang rape of two minor girls and brutally murder incident recently.

The students union,and several social organisations have carried a two-days massive protest dharna starting from Friday against the minor girl gang rape and murder incident at Dudhnoi of Goalpara in the state of Assam.
The protest dharna was organised at the Bodofa Children Park along the JD Road in Kokrajhar district where thousands of students union members, leaders from various social organisations,and citizens participated the protest dharna with holding banner, placards,and shouted slogans demanding stern punishment to the involved culprits.

The ABSU activist demand justice for the victims of the Dudhnoi gang rape case, which was took place on 3 May last. three culprits raped two minor tribal girl and killed one of victims elder brother named Hiranya Khakhlary, Since then ABSU carried out different agitation programme demanding death penalty for Dhan Ali Talukdar, Bahar Ali, Rahaman Ali rape and murder case, fast-track court trial, Rs 20 lakh compensation for the family of Hiranya Khakhlary, who died protecting the victim and one-time financial aid of Rs 5 lakh for the rape survivor.

Protesters slogans such as “Shame on Assam government” and “Hang the Murderer,” expressing their outrage over the incident,and demanded justice to the incident.
ABSU president, Dipen Boro has slammed the state government of Assam for not taking any stern action against culprits, and accordingly the students union carried out agitation programme rapidly.He said that the students union, social organisation members will continue it’s massive protest dharna until and unless achieve of justice against the incident.
He said that the students union condemned the gang rape and brutally murder case of Khaklary where involved culprits have been identified so far. But,till date the stern action initiative is yet to take against the incident.He has urged the chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma,and state government to take bold step while giving justice to the incidents.

Meanwhile, ABSU president Dipen Boro also condemned the Mazbat, Sanitpur rape incident held few day’s ago in the state of Assam.
