KOKRAJHAR, DEC 20: The Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday dedicated to the greater public the Bathou Traditional & Cultural Centre at Baganshali in Kokrajhar.
Dr Sarma inaugurated the Bathou Traditional & Cultural Centre amidst presence of chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro and Assam cabinet minister Ashok Singhal.
Remarkably, the Bathou Traditional was built at a cost of ₹5 crore that was funded from BTR government, which centre is spread over an area of 1 bigha in Kokrajhar town and will be hugely beneficial to the people of the area.
CM Sarma, CEM (BTR) Pramod Boro and cabinet minister Singhal have offered their workshop and prayers to the almighty Bwrai Bathou at the Bathou Thansali on the occasion.
CM Sarma said that the Bathou Traditional & Cultural Centre will be facilitating the opportunity to devote and worship to the almighty Bwrai Bathou amongst the Bathou believers.
CEM Boro said that the government of BTR is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the citizens,and subsequently initiated the step to construct the Bathou Traditional and Cultural centre in Kokrajhar.

Meanwhile, CM Sarma also attended the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Jatra in Kokrajhar amidst a huge participation of citizens being held at Habrubari on the day.
