KOKRAJHAR,MAY 29: In a significant political development, over 2054 new members from different parties including BPF, GSP have joined the UPPL at a party programme held at the Rup Nath Brahma Field, Ramfalbil in Kokrajhar on Thursday.
Remarkably,the event has been marking a major boost to the party’s grassroots strength in the region.
The joining program was organised by the Dotma block committee of the UPPL party in association with Kokrajhar district committee of UPPL party.
Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL president, Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma,Lok Sabha MP Joyanta Basumatary, UPPL general secretary Raju Kumar Narzary, MLA Lawrence Islary, and several dignataries were present and extended warm welcome and felicitation to the newly joined members.
CEM Boro said that the UPPL party is now gaining up it’s popularity amongst the citizens in the Bodoland region.He stated that people cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support and joining the UPPL party in a massive manner.
” UPPL’s strength lies in the trust of the people. And today, that trust grew even I’m delighted to address a massive gathering at Dotma and welcomed 2,054 new members who’ve joined our collective journey of peace, unity and progress”, Boro said.
