Youth Cell of UPPL to organise marathon race competition in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 26: Stepping to bring a drug-free Bodoland, a marathon race competition is being organized on Sunday morning in Kokrajhar district.

Speaking to the reporters at a press conference held in Kokrajhar on Saturday, Dr Sangrang Brahma, General Secretary (administrative) of the youth cell of the UPPL stated that the youth cell of the UPPL party is organising the marathon race the competition in Bodoland region to create an environment of sporting as well drug-free situation across the communities.

He informed that Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region will flag off the marathon race at Banargaon Khageabari playground at 6 am.
The marathon race competition will be starting from Banargaon, and concluding at Rup Nath Brahma playground, Ramfalbil traversed via Chandrapara, Ghoskata, Dotma, Serfanguri covering a distance of 30 kilometers.

Over 1,000 participants from various parts of the country, including BTR, Assam, the Northeastern states, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana are  participating the competition.
The competition will be conducted for both men and women categories.

The first three winners, including first, second and third are to be awarded cash Rs 50000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively along with a trophy.
It is worth mentioning that the main objective of the marathon is to create awareness to build a beautiful youth society and a drug-free Bodoland.
