Workshop on Bagurumba Dance performance held in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, OCT 9: A workshop on Bagurumba Dance was held at Bodofa House Auditorium, Baganshali in Kokrajhar on Monday in preparation for the upcoming world record attempt which would be witnessing grand dance showcase in Kokrajhar, heart town of Bodoland Territorial Region.

The workshop has emphasized strongly to preparation for organising a grand Bagurumba Dance showcase with wearing of traditional Bodo attire in days to come in Bodoland region which was organised jointly by the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, All Bodo Students Union and Dularai Bodo Harimu Afad.

The dance performance will be witnessed of setting up the Guinness World Records for the largest Bagurumba Dance Performance ever in the history of Bodo dance showcase.

Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, BTCLA speaker Katiram Boro, MLA Lawrence Islary, Dr Surath Narzary, president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha graced the occasion as chief guest and guests of honour respectively.

CEM Boro said that the Bagurumba Dance showcase is going to be held in Kokrajhar with wearing traditional Bodo attire in a grand manner. He said that the BTR is gearing up to set the Guinness World Records for the largest Bagurumba Dance Performance ever which would be a historic moment for the citizens of the Bodoland region.
He has urged the peoples of cutting across the communities to extend cooperation and support while making a grand success of the Bagurumba Dance showcase.
