KOKRAJHAR, AUG 31: The ruling UPPL has released more 16 candidate’s names iits second list of candidates for the forthcoming BTC Election 2025. With this announcement, the ruling party in the BTR has so far declared a total of 34 candidates, including the 18 announced earlier in the first phase.
The second list features 16 names across different BTC constituencies. Prominent among them are BTR CEM and UPPL President Pramod Boro, who will contest from 28 No. Goibari constituency, former Deputy Chief of BTC Khampa Borgoyari from 14 No. Chirang Duar, and senior leader Gobinda Chandra Basumatary from 38 No. Bhairabkunda.

The announcement of the second list has further intensified electioneering in the BTR, with the UPPL aiming to secure a majority on its own strength. The party leadership has expressed confidence that the declared candidates reflect the aspirations of diverse communities in the region.
With the BTC elections drawing closer, the political atmosphere in BTR is heating up as other parties, including the BPF, BJP and the Alternative Party of Boroland are also finalising their candidate lists.

The opposition BPF party declared it’s 10 more candidate’s names in the second list,and so far announcement’s lists toll have been gone 32 to contest the BTC elections.
AGP party released four candidate’s names for the council elections,Congress party released 31 candidate’s names for the upcoming BTC elections. APB announced 25,GSP 3 till date to contest the upcoming BTC elections.
CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL president, Pramod Boro has expressed his confident that the UPPL party is winning majority seats in the BTC elections.He said that people cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support the UPPL party in the elections.
