KOKRAJHAR,JAN 5: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) holds it’s 24th central working committee (CWC) meeting being held at the Cultural Complex, Mushalpur in Baksa district on Saturday.
Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and UPPL president, chaired the meeting where party discussed at length on the strengthening of the party affairs,and uplift of the party.
Many senior leaders, including Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MPs Rwngwra Narzary, Joyanta Basumatary,MLAs, EMs of Bodoland Territorial Region, MCLAs, CWC members were present in the event.
The meeting has been convened for the first in the year of 2025 that witnessed a good number of participants.
Several resolutions, including strengthening of the party at the grassroots with involving party’ workers, keep working relentlessly for the welfare of the BTR people etc were resolved in the meeting.
CEM of BTR and UPPL president, Pramod Boro told that the meeting discussed thoroughly on the matter of party’s strengthening stretegy at the grassroots level.He said that the party is now gaining up it’s popularity amongst the citizens in the Bodoland region,and subsequently new members from different political parties are joining massively in the UPPL party.He said that the BTR region is now prevailed peace and tranquility cutting across the communities since signing the BTR peace accord in 2020(27th January) that have been paving the way for bringing ushering of sustainable development and welfare of the peoples.

Extended my new year greetings to my fellow CWC members and discussed several key party matters with them. We resolved to redouble our efforts to further strengthen our party’s grassroots presence, and keep working relentlessly for the welfare of BTR’s people”, CEM Boro said.
