KOKRAJHAR,JAN 12: A total of 1178 new members from different political parties and social organisations including BPF, Congress have joined the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) party at a grand joining and public meeting held at Salakati Idgah maidan on Friday in Kokrajhar district.
The joining programme was organised by Salakati block committee in association with Kokrajhar district committee of UPPL party where several new members from different political parties, social organisations including vice president of Religious Minority Council ( RMC).of Bodoland Territorial Region,Aynal Haque formally joined the UPPL party amidst a huge gathering of citizens.
UPPL president and CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro, Rajya Sabha MP, Rwngwra Narzary, Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma,party general secretaries Raju Kumar Narzary, Madhab Chandra Chetry, MLAs Lawrence Islary, Joyanta Basumatary were offered warm welcome and felicitation to newly joined members during the event.
CEM Pramod Boro said that peoples from all sections of the society are coming forward to join the UPPL across the region,and subsequently today also several hundred new members have joined the UPPL party.
He said that the UPPL led UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government in BTR is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and uplift of the citizens since it’s inception in the BTR government.He said that BTR government is committed to work for all round development of the region.
He said that people’s massive joining participation are creating courageous moment for the party’s uplift and building strength.
He has extended his greetings to all newly joined members to the UPPL party family.
