UPPL celebrates 9th Foundation Day in Chirang

KOKRAJHAR,AIG 5: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) party celebrated it’s 9th Foundation Day centrally with a day-long programme scheduled at the Bengtol playground in Chirang district amidst witnessed a grand participation of party workers, supporters and well wishers.
The celebration marked the nine year journey of it’s existence while rendering services for the public in the region.

As part of the program schedule of the celebration,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region,and UPPL president, Pramod Boro, hoisted party flag.Assam cabinet minister and UPPL founder president, Urkhao Gwra Brahma paid homage to the martyrs followed by sapling plantation drive towards the bringing green Bodoland on the occasion at the celebration venue,and inaugurated by deputy CEM of BTR, Gabinda Chandra Basumatary.

Assam cabinet minister,and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president,Atul Bora graced as chief guest on the open session of the UPPL foundation day celebration.
Minister Bora has extended warm congratulations to all UPPL party leaders and president of the party and CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro on the occasion which marked the nine year journey of the party.He has expressed his hopeful that the UPPL party is now gaining up it’s popularity amongst the citizens across the region
CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro said that the UPPL party today celebrated 9th foundation day with day-long befitting programme scheduled.He said that he had the honor of joining dedicated party members at the grand celebration of the foundation day of the party that witnessed a grand participation from different districts of the Bodoland region.

He has extended his warm greetings and congratulations to all party leaders and workers as well supporters of the region on the occasion of the party’s foundation day celebration.
” This day is a tribute to the selfless sacrifices of our devoted party workers who have tirelessly worked to realize our vision of a peaceful BTR. Our resolve has triumphed over 17 years of violence and misrule by the BPF, earning us the love and trust of the BTR people”, CEM Boro said.
” The recent concluded Lok Sabha Elections of 2024 have seen the people of BTR express their unconditional support for the UPPL, rewarding us with a landslide victory in the 1 No. Kokrajhar (ST) Lok Sabha constituency. As we approach the upcoming by-elections, we are poised for an overwhelming majority, continuing our relentless efforts for the welfare of all BTR citizens”,he said adding that UPPL party’s strength grows daily, with thousands joining our ranks from all walks of life, making the UPPL a true representation of the aspirations of every BTR citizen.
” The journey of the UPPL is defined by our unwavering commitment to peace and our sincere desire to ensure justice and equitable progress for every citizen of BTR. The peace that now prevails in Bodoland is a testament to our steadfast adherence to our foundational principles of Peace, Equality, Justice, and Progress”, Boro added.

Regarding the bye elections, CEM Boro said that the UPPL party is fully prepared to contest the upcoming bye election at Sidli Chirang LAC in Chirang district under the banner of NDA alliance.He said that the UPPL party and NDA alliance partners have prepared necessary strategies for the bye elections,and expressed his hopeful that UPPL candidate backed by NDA alliance is getting last laugh in a huge margin of votes in the elections.He has also claimed that peoples cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support and vote in favour of UPPL candidate backed by NDA alliance as UPPL party is rendering relentless services towards the welfare and development of the citizens.

Among others, deputy speaker of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council,Rama Kanta Rabha, deputy CEM of BTR, Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, BTR executive members, Ranjit Basumatary, Dhananjay Basumatary, Nilut Swargiary, MLAs Lawrence Islary, Jolen Daimary,party general secretaries Raju Kumar Narzary, Madhab Chandra Chetry were present in the event.
