KOKRAJHAR,FEB 24: In a significant development in the Bodoland region, Union Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, and Labour & Employment, Rameswar Teli and the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR ), Pramod Boro laid the foundation stone of the combined POL & LPG facility at Kamardanga of Chirang district on Saturday amidst presence of huge gathering.
Remarkably, the combined project would be constructed with a ₹540 Crores investment on 78.68 acres, this state-of-the-art project, boasting a 20,440 Kilo Litre capacity, will enhance energy accessibility in the North East. Specifically, it is benefiting Chirang and nearby districts in the, it ensures a steady LPG supply to 78 distributorships, 9.2 Lakhs customers, and aids around 7 Lakhs PMUY beneficiaries.
The project has been stepping for a major boost to effective and sustainable energy accessibility in Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
CEM Boro has expressed his gratitude to the government of India and government of Assam for facilitating the mega project in Chirang district of BTR.He said that this is a major boost to effective and sustainable energy accessibility in BTR.
He informed that this mega project has been coming out through the spirit of BTR Peace Accord 2020 (Bodoland Territorial Region Peace Accord), and hopeful that it will be benefiting massive amongst the citizens of the region.
