Two Bodo writers awarded Sahitya Akademi award

KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 15: In a laurel of happyness,and proud for the citizens of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR),two Bodo writers have been achieved Sahitya Akademi Award 2024 winning the hearts of the citizens.

Eminent poet of Kokrajhar, Virgin Jekobha Mushahary has been awarded the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Purashkar for her poem book ‘Buhumaa Boinibw’. The children poetry book was published in 2019 by Bodo Publication Board of Bodo Sahitya Sabha.

Ms Self Made Rani Boro of Udalguri has been awarded the prestigious Sahitya Academy Yuva Puraskar, 2024 for her short story book ‘Saikhlum’.

Meanwhile, Ranju Hazarika & Nayanjyoti Sarma in the state were awarded the Sahitya Akademi award for the year 2024 respectively.

On the achieving of Sahitya Akademi award of Bodo writers, president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha,Dr Surath Narzary,All Bodo Students Union president Dipen Boro have extended their warm congratulations to the Bodo writers.They said that the winning of Sahitya Akademi award is a great achievement for the writers of the Bodos,and hopeful that the award is extending more encourage to create more literature in days to come.

The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro extended his warm greetings and congratulations to all Sahitya Akademi award achievers including Bodo writers Mushahary and Boro.He said that the award winning from Bodo literature is a
proud moment for Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and for all of Assam state.
