KOKRAJHAR,OCT 22: The electioneering campaign for the bye-election to the 31No.Sidli LAC in Chirang district is seeing gained momentum as different political parties including ruling United People’s Party Liberal, BPF and Congress have so far declared candidate’s name to contest the bye elections scheduled on November 13.
Former MCLA of BTC,and Chirang district UPPL president, Nirmal Kumar Brahma has been declared as candidate of UPPL backed by the NDA alliance.
Brahma expressed his confident to win the bye election as peoples from all sections of the society are coming forward to extend support to the NDA alliance candidate.
The Opposition BPF party declared name of Suddha Kumar Basumatary as party’s candidate for the upcoming Sidli LAC bye-election.
Notably, Basumatary is BPF vice president and noted businessman in the area, has been nominated as BPF candidate for the bye election.
BPF president Hagrama Mohilary announced Basumatary as party’s official candidate to contest the Sidli LAC bye election..BPF party has expressed it’s confident for winning the bye election.
The Congress party declared Sanjib Wary as party’s candidate for the upcoming Sidli LAC bye election.
Wary is president of Chirang district Congress committee.
It is need to be mentioned that there will be triangle electioneering contest in the bye election in Sidli LAC.
The bye election has been necessitated at the Sidli LAC due to resignation of MLA Joyanta Basumatary after being elected to the Lok Sabha from Kokrajhar HPC held in June last.
Meanwhile,the district administration of Chirang district have so far prepared necessary strategies to conduct the bye election in a smooth manner.
More than 216000 voters will franchise their democratic rights in 273 polling stations in Sidli LAC during the bye election scheduled on November 13.
The counting of votes will be taking place on November 23.
Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region d UPPL president, stated that the five NDA alliance candidates including UPPL candidate of Sidli LAC are getting last laugh in the bye elections in the state of Assam. He said that the government of BTR and Govt of Assam are rendering relentless services towards the welfare and development of the common masses across the region since it’s inception in the reign.He said that peoples cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support to the UPPL candidate backed by the NDA alliance as citizens have kept faith on the BTR government and UPPL party in today’s juncture.
He mentioned that the Opposition’s attractive magic is now become irrelevant amongst the citizens in Bodoland region, and subsequently common masses across the region is fully expressed their willingness to extend support to vote in favour of NDA alliance backed UPPL candidate, Nirmal Kumar Brahma in the bye election.
