12 EMs take oath, marking new chapter for Bodoland
KOKRAJHAR, OCT 14: The swearing-in ceremony of the newly inducted Executive Members (EMs) of the 5th Executive Council of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) was held on Tuesday at the Auditorium Hall, Assembly Building, BTCLA, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar. The event marked a significant milestone in the formal constitution of the new Executive Council of the BTC under the leadership of Hagrama Mohilary,the CEM of Bodoland Territorial Council.
Jayanta Malla Baruah, Minister of Public Health Engineering etc, Government of Assam, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. BTC Chief Executive Member, Hagrama Mohilary, Speaker of BTCLA, Tridip Daimari, Deputy CEM, Rihon Daimari, were also present, along with MCLAs and senior officials.
A total of twelve Executive Members took oath on the occasion, four in Bodo, six in English, and two in Assamese. The sequence in which EMs took oath are Mritunjoy Narzary in Bodo, Moon Moon Brahma in English, Rabiram Narzary in Bodo, Derhasat Basumatary in English, Prakash Basumatary in English, Paniram Brahma in English, Dhiraj Borgoyary in Assamese, Begom Akhtara Ahmed in Assamese, Augustush Tigga in English, Ganesh Kachary in English, Lwmsrao Daimary in Bodo, and Fresh Mushahari in Bodo.
Mukesh Chandra Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Welfare of Bodoland Department and Women and Child Development Department, administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed EMs.
With this, the 5th Executive Council of the Bodoland Territorial Council’s strength gone 14 including CEM and deputy CEM.that stands formally constituted under the leadership of Chief Hagrama Mohilary, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the governance and development of the Bodoland.
Within the day, the members of the Executive Council of BTC are allotted departments to run the BTC government in a smooth functioning. Hagrama Mohilary, CEM of BTC kept several key departments on his hand include PWD, Finance, P & RD, Cultural Affairs,Rihon Daimary, deputy CEM gets Agriculture department. Rabiram Narzary held Education, Derhasat Basumatary held Health and Family Welfare, Moonmoon Brahma gets Urban Development Department, Mrityunjay Narzary held Transport,Begum Akhtara Ahmed gets Public Health Engineering (PHE), Paniram Brahma gets Forest and Wildlife,Fresh Mushahary held Water Resources,Lwmsrao Daimary gets Land and Revenue and Disaster Management,Prakash Basumatary held Social Welfare Department,Augustush Tigga gets held Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department,Ganesh Kochary gets Irrigation department and Dhiraj Borgoyary gets Soil Conservation department.
