KOKRAJHAR,MAR 30: A one-day International seminar on ‘Metaphors in the Discursive Practices of Postcoloniality and Eco-criticism’ was held at the Kokrajhar Govt College premises in Kokrajhar on Saturday.

The event was organised by Department of English, Kokrajhar Govt. College, in collaboration with the Department of English, Bodoland University that saw a good response from the participants.
The seminar was graced by esteemed scholars and resource persons, including Dr. Chong Seng Tong and Dr. A. Zufrie Rahman from Malaysia, along with Dr. J. Khartikeyan from Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India. Their insights and scholarly discussions contributed significantly to the academic discourse on postcolonial narratives and ecological criticism.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. B.L. Ahuja, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Bodoland University, in the esteemed presence of Prof. P.K. Patra, Head, Department of English, Bodoland University & Dean, Faculty of Languages, Bodoland University, and Dr. D.D. Mwchahary, Principal, Kokrajhar Govt. College. Their support and encouragement underscored the importance of interdisciplinary discussions in contemporary literary studies.

The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and scholars from various institutions.
