Seminar and exhibition of Cooperative held at Tamulpur

KOKRAJHAR,SEP 24:  The Cooperative Exhibition cum Seminar 2024 was held at the Tamulpur on Tuesday in Tamulpur district.
The event was organised by the Department of Cooperation, government of Bodoland Territorial Region under the guidance of CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro and EM Ukil Mushahary to showcase creativity activities of the department.

The event was inaugurated by ADC, Tamulpur, Dr. Dipankar Nath. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Nath underscored the need of enhanced coordination among cooperative societies in the region in order to bring about an economic revolution.
Participating in the Seminar, Dr Diganta Gogoi, President of the Assam Vanilla Planter’s Association, highlighted the lucrative potential of vanilla cultivation, emphasizing its high profitability and sustainable nature. Dr. Ranjan Neog, Project Operation In Charge at AMPPCL, NSPDT, Assam, discussed the prospects of pullet farming and  its potential for generating income and improving nutritional security.

Rulen Hazarika, Vice Chairman of Assam Pearl Development Cooperative Society shed light on the opportunities and benefits of pearl cultivation. Akbar Ali Ahmed, a renowned farmer and entrepreneur, shared his experiences in dragon fruit cultivation and encouraged others to explore this profitable venture. Dr. Dhritiranjay Roy, ADO Baksa, emphasized the importance of scientific farming practices and the potential of cooperative societies in driving regional development.
