KOKRAJHAR,MAY 23: The government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and UPPL party on Monday offered warm welcome and felicitation to Dr Sangrang Brahma,OSD to CEM (BTR) for being selected as Honorary Secretary of Assam Football Association (AFA).
Chief executive member of CEM, Pramod Boro accorded warm welcome and felicitation to Dr Sangrang Brahma with traditional Aronai and bouquet at a programme held at BTC Secretariat Conference Hall, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar in the august presence of BTR executive members, UPPL party leaders, senior officials and local citizens.
Notably,the Assam Football Association has formed it’s new executive committee body recently at a general meeting of the association where Naba Kumar Doley retained as president and Dr Brahma as honorary secretary. BTR executive member for sports & youth welfare department, Daobaisa Boro and president of Kokrajhar district sports association,Kabiranjan Brahma were selected as vice president of the association.
While welcoming,Dr Brahma for his assignment as honorary secretary of the association,the BTR government has accorded warm welcome and felicitation in BTR which has brought an encouraging moments amongst the sports fraternities in Bodoland region.
Notably, the Bodoland Territorial Region government had successfully organised the first ever inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 in Bodoland last year which had gathered strong sporting amusement and integration across the state.
As Executive Member of sports and youth welfare affairs of Bodoland Territorial Council, Daobaisa Boro had organised the Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League (ISPL) in a smooth and successfull manner under whose leadership last year, the mega football event was a huge success and gave a platform for footballers of various councils of north east to showcase their skills in the game.
CEM Boro has extended his hearty congratulations to all newly elected members of Assam Football Association, including president Naba Kumar Doley and honorary secretary Dr Sangrang Brahma.
