KOKRAJHAR, MAR 27: Senior UPPL party leader, Ramesh Narzary passed away early today morning at his Chechapani residence near Magurmari in Kokrajhar district.
Narzary was regarded as one of prominent founding members of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) party in 2016. He was the chairman of Reception Committee of Banargaon Conference of UPPL party which was held in 2018 besides held various positions including vice president of Kokrajhar district of UPPL party.
He was retired employee of NTPC Bongaigaon Salakati and was associated with social organisations in the locality.
He was suffering from Kidney related diseases since few years and was going under treatment.
He breathed his last today early morning around 1.45 am.He leaves two daughters behind his wife. He was 67.
The body of Narzary was cremated at the village crematorium ground after performing rituals in the afternoon.
Leaders and members from various organisations including UPPL party, Banargaon anchalik committee of ABSU,social organisations have visited at the family of Narzary and extended their deep mourning and condolences over demise of Narzary.
Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and UPPL president, Pramod Boro expressed his condolences and deep mourning on the demise of Narzary today morning.
He said that UPPL party loss a great party leader and social activist with his demise.
” It is a deeply saddened by the demise of senior UPPL leader, Shri Ramesh Narzary”,he said adding that he was man of immense dedication & integrity, Narzary worked tirelessly to elevate the stature of our party.
” I pray his soul finds eternal peace & extend my sincere condolences to his family”,Boro added.
Assam cabinet minister and UPPL founding president, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MLA for Kokrajhar East LAC, Lawrence Islary have also extended their deep condolences on the death of Narzary and prayed for his eternal peace.
Meanwhile,noted writer and former president of Kokrajhar district committee of Bodo Sahitya Sabha,Basanta Kumar Brahma breathed his last late last evening at his Baganshali residence in Kokrajhar.
He was retired government employee and associated with various social organisations in his days.
He was suffering from his age ailments since few months and passed away on Sunday evening at his own residence.
Brahma was president of Kokrajhar district committee of Bodo Sahitya Sabha during the 1999-2002 and contributed a lot by writing articles in various literary magazine and mouthpiece of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha.
Bodo Sahitya Sabha president, Toren Boro and general secretary Prasanta Boro haxe extended their deep condolences on the demise of Brahma.
The sabha leaders recalled contributions of Brahma towards the uplift and welfare of Bodo language and literature.
