KOKRAJHAR, DEC 8: Along with rest of the state, the pulse Polio immunization drive was carried out on Sunday across the Kokrajhar town and the entire district to immunize children below five years of age and protect them from polio.
Masanda Magdalin Pertin, the district commissioner of Kokrajhar, inaugurated the drive at the Rup Nath Brahma civil hospital in Kokrajhar amid the presence of medical officers,staffs of the hospital.
The district commissioner was assisted by District Polio Immunization program officer, Dr. D Bhowal.
The initiative aims to ensure complete immunization and safeguard young children against the threat of polio in the region.
DC Pertin stated that the pulse Polio drive has carried out across the entire Kokrajhar district,and emphasized to bring healthy health of the below five years of age children.She said that the drive saw a good numbers of participation from the society at the immunization centres across the region.
