KOKRAJHAR,JUNE 29: In the 123rd episode of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made special mention of Bodoland’s growing sport’s culture, praising the region’s football enthusiasm and the Bodoland CEM Cup 2025.
Remarkably,the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) has initiated the Bodoland CEM Cup 2025 which was started on June 14 across the 420 VCDCs in the Bodoland region. More than 3500 teams participated the football tournament,and players showcased their football’s sporting amusement.
Referring to Bodoland in the state of Assam as a region with a new identity of peace, progress, and youth-led development, the Prime Minister Modi lauded the initiatives undertaken by the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) under the leadership of Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) to promote sports as a tool for empowerment and unity.
PM Modi has praised Bodoland’s footballers Halicharan Narzary, Durga Boro,Apurna Narzary,Manbir Basumatary, crediting the younger generations for bringing national recognition to the region.
The mention has sparked pride and excitement across the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) districts, especially among the youth and sports enthusiasts.
Leaders and locals welcomed the Prime Minister’s recognition of the region’s transformation through sports as government of BTR has conducted several national, international football tournaments that creating sporting amusement.
Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region has hailed the PM Modi’s addressed to the sporting event Bodoland CEM Cup initiated by the Govt of BTR.He stated that PM Narendra Modi visited the Bodoland on 7th February,2020,and laid the foundation of peace and development in Bodoland region.He has said that the Bodoland CEM Cup received a good response as several thousand teams participated in the event.
