KOKRAJHAR, JULY 6: To bring innovation in the education department, the BTC government recently announced several academic programs, including DMIT tests for students in educational institutions, group insurance for students, and yoga training. An orientation program was organized today by the BTC Education Department to implement these initiatives effectively.
On this occasion, an orientation meeting was held today at the Borofa Cultural Complex in Chandamari, Kokrajhar, with participation from about 1,100 educational institutions and five-member monitoring committees of the BTC Education Department.
In today’s event, Principal of Kokrajhar Science College and advisor to the BTC Education Department’s monitoring committee, R.N. Sinha, praised the initiatives taken under the leadership of Promod Boro to bring reforms in the education sector for establishing peace in BTC. He mentioned that the teaching community is actively participating in these reforms for the betterment of BTC.
He specifically pointed out that the BTC Education Department has actively implemented the DMIT test (to assess students’ brain caliber), group insurance, and other programs across all districts of BTR with full dedication. He emphasized that some individuals, after graduation, have become ACS and IPS officers and are administering our region, but “we do not depend solely on officers for the welfare of BTC”, he remarked significantly.
Sinha stated that the teaching community has come forward with full support and that Promod Boro has given the necessary permission and backing.
In today’s orientation program, J.P. Brahma, Director of the BTC Education Department, and monitoring committee members Ranjit Kumar Basumatary and Ratneshwar Dewnath were also present.
