KOKRAJHAR,DEC 16: The government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) celebrated it’s fourth year anniversary on Sunday with befitting programme scheduled that marked a large number of participation from across the communities.
During the celebration, several prominent personalities from the field of culture, sports were felicitated by the government of BTR.
Noted folk song singer of Bodo,and comedian actor, Gunabati Basumatary (Dangkhw Lwdw) was conferred Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Cultural Award 2024 by Cultural Affairs department, government of Bodoland Territorial Region.
The award consisting of a citation,endi shawl, momento and cheque of Rs two lakh.
On the occasion, several development partners who are working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the Bodoland region, the government of BTR extended warm gratitude,and felicitated to all partners, included Agastya International Foundation , Azim Premji University, Vyomika Space Academy – VSA , SELCO Foundation, @THF_INDIA, CINI, CEGIS, UNICEF India, Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation, TRI, WRI India, CRISP, ARIAS Society, CSB, Shishu Sarothi, KHPT, Piramal Foundation, Janaagraha, symbioticfood pvt.ltd, KILA, Sunbird Trust, Assam Veterinary College, NAFPO, DCAC, PUM, College of Horticulture & FSR, Nalbari.
The felicitated personalities and developmental partners have expressed their gratitude and thanks to the government of BTR having received the felicitation.
Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) stated that the BTR government has celebrated the fourth anniversary on Sunday that marked regaining of sustainable development, peace, harmony and integrity in the region.
He said that the people of Bodoland Territorial Region is achieved peace, harmony and tranquility amongst the citizens since it’s inception in the reign.
“BTR is not just a region, it is a collective vision of the people, our govt along with that of our development partners who are working tirelessly to ensure holistic development of the region. As we complete 4 years of BTR, I join the people in expressing my heartfelt gratitude to all our developmental
partners”,he said adding, “We set out with the aim of a Peaceful, Smart & Green Bodoland, and today, as we are celebrating four years of BTR government. I’m proud to say that we have fulfilled each aspect of our mission”.
