KOKRAJHAR,JULY 18: Member of Parliament (MP) of Rajya Sabha,Rwngwra Narzary on Thursday called on President of India,Draupadi Murmu, to invite Her Excellency to grace the closing ceremony of the Kokrajhar- leg of the scheduled 133rd edition of the Durand Cup 2024.
MP Narzary, reached the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi,on Thursday morning,and called on the Her Excellency, Smt Murmu to offer invitation letter, on
behalf of the chief executive member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region, Shri Pramod Boro to grace the closing ceremony of the Durand Cup to be held on 21st August at SAI stadium in Kokrajhar.
Notably, Asia’s oldest & most prestigious football tournament,the Durand Cup is set to be held once again in Kokrajhar, the ‘City of Peace’ from 30th July to 21st August, 2024.
MP Narzary discussed various issues and handed over an invitation letter, on behalf of Promad Boro, Hon’ble CEM of BTR, to grace the Asia’s oldest football tournament ‘Durand Cup’s closing ceremony in Kokrajhar leg.
