KOKRAJHAR, JULY 13: A joining meeting of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) was organized on Saturday evening at Santinagar in Kokrajhar town.
More than two hundred people formally joined the UPPL party in the presence of CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL President Pramod Boro, Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma during the meeting.
The UPPL leadership formally welcomed all the new members who joined the party from different parties including BPF,Congress.
After the joining ceremony, founder president of UPPL and Assam Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma told the media that the UPPL party in Kokrajhar has become much stronger compared to earlier. He stated that the national party BJP will contest in the BTR elections, but only in a limited number of seats.
The UPPL has set a target to win more than twenty seats in the upcoming BTR elections.
Kokrajhar MLA Lawrence Islary was also present at the joining meeting.
