KOKRAJHAR, MAR 9: A 11 year-old minor girl was allegedly raped by a man in Kokrajhar.
According to report, the victim girl along with her 3-4 friends went to pick jujube at a nearby farm when the accused identified as Niran Mashahary( 23) of Bishmuri Bashbari, took her to a nearby bush on the pretext of giving her some vegetables and raped her on the afternoon of Wednesday last.
The accused have been arrested and a case registered with Kokrajhar police station,bearing case ase no. 100/23 U/S 376 AB/ 506 IPC read with Sec 6 of POCSO Act.
He has been sent to three day’s police custody.
A thorough investigation is on into the incident.
