KOKRAJHAR,SEP 9: Harkeswar Brahma, the father of Assam cabinet minister & founding president of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL ), Urkhao Gwra Brahma was breathed his last today at a private hospital in Kokrajhar.
According to the family sources, minister Brahma’s father Harkeswar Brahma was admitted to the hospital two day’s ago for treatment of age ailments and today breathed his last today morning.
Minister Brahma while confirming about his father’s demise on his social media handle said, “A holy soul gone away from me today. A selfless father who has dedicated his 90 yrs journey of his life for the well-being of sons and daughter. I shall remain always indebted to you my father, I am today known as I am , only because of you”.
He was about 90. He was well known social worker amongst the citizens in the greater Chalani Batabari area near Dotma in Kokrajhar district.
Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL president, Rajya Sabha MP and UPPL working president, Rwngwra Narzary, MLA Lawrence Islary, UPPL general secretary Raju Kumar Narzary, Bodo Sahitya Sabha general secretary Nilakanta Goyary, ABSU general secretary Khanindra Basumatary and several senior citizens have rushed the house of Brahma and paid last by offering tributes to late Harkeswar Brahma.
In his condolence message, CEM (BTR), Boro said that it is a deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Harkeswar Brahma, father of Assam cabinet minister & founding president of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL ), Urkhao Gwra Brahma.
” I extend my sincere condolences to the bereaved family & well wishers in this hour of grief. May the departed soul rest in peace”, Boro added.
The Bodo Sahitya Sabha and All Bodo Students Union have also extended their deep mourning and condolences to the bereaved family members,
