KOKRAJHAR,AUG 14: Along with rest of the state,the district administration of Kokrajhar is set to celebrate the 79th Independence Day with befitting programme scheduled at Kokrajhar Govt HS & MP School parade ground in Kokrajhar on Friday.
Necessary preparation and arrangements are so far made to have smoothly succesful of the Independence Day amidst a well attended gathering of the citizens in the national event celebration.
Several parade contingents including Assam police jawan, school students representing different colleges,schools are showcasing march past on the occasion.
The parade ground has been kept strong security vigil to end the untoward incidents during the celebrations. The important award’s awardees and achievers would be felicitated by the district administration besides meritorious students would also be felicitated during the celebrations.A multi community cultural demonstration will also be demonstrated to mark the occasion.
Pramod Boro,the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) will grace the occasion as chief guest,and hoisting the national flag following by the address to the citizens on the occasion.
