KOKRAJHAR, MAR 28:The Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital (KMCH) will be dedicated for rendering services of the citizens on April 14 next during the festive Rongjali Bwisagu (Rongali Bihu) celebration.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will ceremonially inaugurate the Kokrajhar Medical College while visiting the state on April 14 which is witnessing a mega showcase of Bihu dance at a stretch that expected to be marked record in Guinness book world record in the history.
On Tuesday, Assam cabinet minister for Health and Family welfare department, Keshav Mahanta, cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro, BTR executive member Arup Kumar Dey, MLA Lawrence Islary have visited at the KMCH construction complex and Nursing College campus in Kokrajhar.
Mahanta and visiting members have took stock about the completion of the medical college and Nursing college by inspecting every corners of the medical college.
Minister also held a review meeting with KMCH authorities and health department officials at the KMCH complex.
The meeting has emphasized on the preparation and arrangements for inaugration the KMC which is expecting to extend rendering services for the peoples of the region.
During the meeting,the discussion was centered around the various arrangements required to ensure the successful inauguration of the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital by the Prime Minister.
It is need to be mentioned that the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital is a much-awaited addition to the healthcare infrastructure of the Bodoland region, and its inauguration by the Prime Minister is a momentous occasion.
Minister Mahanta told that the KMCH is going to be dedicated for the services on April 14 through the hand of prime minister Modi.He informed that the academic curriculum calendar of the medical college is starting from September-October and necessary procedures are so far made.
He said the state government and BTR government is jointly working towards the humanity welfare and development in the region.
CEM Boro said that the Kokrajhar medical college is going to be inauguration during the festive Rongjali Bwisagu celebration in the state.He has expressed his hopeful that with the inauguration of the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital, the people of Kokrajhar and surrounding areas will have access to medical care, and the hospital is expected to play a pivotal role in improving the health and well-being of the local population.
