KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 20: Along with rest of the state,the 55th Rabha Divosh was observed with befitting programme scheduled at different places in the entire Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) districts on Thursday,and recalled contributions and dedication of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha,who contributed a lot towards the welfare and uplift of the greater Assam state in his days.
In Chirang,the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) central committee in association with Chirang district committee of the ABSU observed the 55th Rabha Divosh at Kajalgaon ABSU office complex.
The program was started with floral tributes to the Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha.
Khwrwndao Wary, ABSU vice president gave welcome address welcoming the Invited guests and participants which was chaired by Dipen Boro, ABSU president.
Dr Anil Kumar Boro, Guwahati University graced the occasion as chief guest.
Notably,15 prominent personalities representing different communities including Bodo,Rabha etc were offered warm welcome and felicitation by the students union on the occasion as a mark of integration amongst the citizens.
ABSU president Dipen Boro said that the Rabha Divosh was observed centrally in Chirang district,and remembered contribution and sacrifice of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha, who had rendered his dedication towards the welfare and development of the common masses in his days.He said that the ABSU and common people will always remember the sacrifice and contributional philosophy and ideology of Rabha in days to come.He was a great leader, who always aimed for the wellbeing of the common people who are living in the grassroots.
In Kokrajhar,the district committee of ABSU in collaboration with North Kokrajhar anchalik committee,ABSU observed the Rabha Divosh at the North Kokrajhar anchalik committee ABSU office, Debargaon.
ABSU leaders,members and local citizens offered homage to Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha on his death anniversary.
The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro offered homage to Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha,on his death anniversary.
He remembered the contributions and sacrifice towards the welfare and integration of the common masses, who always worked and thought for the wellbeing of the common masses in his life.He said that Rabha’s dedicatedly worked for the down trodden communities will be recalled on the minds of the citizens in days to come.He said that Rabha aimed for a social upliftment with dignity and integrity amongst the citizens in the state.
