KOKRAJHAR, MAR 26: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam (@DIR_VAC_ASSAM) today caught Junior Engineer Nekibuz Zaman red-handed while accepting a ₹10,000 bribe at his office in Fakiragram Municipal Board in Kokrajhar district.
Zaman was allegedly demanding the bribe from a complainant in exchange for granting permission to renovate a shop. Acting on the complaint, vigilance officials laid a trap and arrested him while taking the bribe.
According to source,Zaman has been demanding bribe from the businessmen for granting permission or other activities works in the town,and accordingly he has apprehended today by vigilance.Interogation is going on.
