KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 21: Along with rest of the state, the international yoga day 2023 was celebrated in different districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) on Wednesday amidst huge presence of cutting across the society with sending messages for bringing healthy life through the regularly practicing of yoga while leading daily life a sound health.
On the occasion of international yoga day, chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro expresses his greetings to all citizens of the region, said that the yoga exercise is an integral part of good health leading. He said that each and every citizens of state must maintain healthy health through regularly yoga exercise in day today leading life.
In Kokrajhar, district administration of Kokrajhar in association with Kokrajhar district patanjali yog samiti organised a mass yoga session being held at KDSA indoor stadium.
Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MLA from Kokrajhar East, Lawrence Islary, and several dignataries were graced as guests and joined hands in the mass yoga.
Brahma extended his greetings and best wishes on the occasion of international yoga day being organised across the region. He said that yoga must be practices daily to meet disease free healthy health among the human living. He has opined that the human mental stress should be decreased by increasing physical strength through the regularly practicing habitual yoga everyday among the society.
He said that the Yoga is all about balancing human’s senses, bodies, souls & minds to live healthily and in peace.

He urged all citizens to participate in the yoga day celebration and maintain healthy health among the society. Brahma said Yoga is an exercise to make disease free health for human beings.
He informed that the state government and district administration are taking stern steps to make the yoga as important part of educational career in days to come.
NTPC Bongaigaon Salakati also celebrated the International Yoga Day 2023 was celebrated with a mass yoga session at today at the Employee Welfare Association Hall for employees, family members, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club members and associates.
The session was conducted by Om Prakash and Rubul Das, certified yoga guru and jawan from CISF, NTPC Bongaigaon unit where more than 100 participants from various employees, CISF Jawans and family members participated.
Karunakar Das, CGM, NTPC (Bongaigaon) on the occasion spoke to the employees and family members on the theme of this year’s International Yoga Day ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, and thus promoted the vision of better health and wellness for all on a regular basis through Yoga. S K Jha, GM (FM), Shri Induri Reddy, GM (Maintenance), Shri Arunashis Das, GM (Project), Shri Shashi Shekhar, AGM (HR), Shri Paresh Mathur, AGM (TS), senior officials and members of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club also joined the program.
Om Prakash demonstrated various asanas based on Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) as released by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India under Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsava. He also provided guidance regarding healthy and mindful diet including various asanas to reduce body weight and improve breathing for a longer life. On the occasion, GMs, HODs, employees,representatives of union and association spouses and children of NTPC Bongaigaon were present.
In Chirang, the International Day of Yoga, 2023 was observed in various parts of the district. The main programme was held at Kajalgaon district parade ground under the aegis of Chirang district administration.
On the occasion, some line departments, which include sports, education, DIPRO, including sports clubs and NGOs also organized yoga programmes at different locations.
The Baksa and Udalguri district adninistrsrions have also celebrated the international yoga day with befitting programme scheduled.
