KOKRAJHAR, NOV 5: A huge numbers of peoples thronged at the Haloadal Tarong River near Titagiri since early morning today to fish out fishes in Kokrajhar.
Remarkably, the Tarong Irrigation Sluice gate has released the river water every year on November 5, and peoples from different areas of the entire Kokrajhar district and it’s adjoining aread are coming here for fishing which have seemed festivity like environment along the Tarong River.
The Tarong River is a river stream of agriculture farming field which flow from the northern area of the district to the downstream that link to the Gaurang River in the southern part throughout the harvesting field.
Peoples from all walks of life seen coming in the early morning with Zekhai,Kobai,Polo,net etc to fish out fishes with an enthusiastic moment that made merry making as well fishing entertainment amongst the thronging peoples.
With the ensuing of the winter season, citizens cutting across the communities are expressed their enthusiasm happiness to be part of the community fishing in the rivers as well the bills, and accordingly today’s scenerio gathered a huge crowd of peoples with catches of different types of big and small fishes on the Tarong River site.
“I am came here in the morning at the Tarong River site to be part of the community fishing season and caught several small,big fishes and enjoyed the enthusiastic situation for the moments till noon”, said a woman fisher from Salakati village.
“The Tarong River seen filled with thronging of peoples since morning that sent an integrity of peace and tranquility amongst the citizens in the region with fishing on the river site. I’m felt very happy to be part of the community fishing with great enthusiasm that seemed festivity like environment”, Rajon Kumar Narzary, a male fisher from Kanthalguri village.
