HP Solar Pumps Inaugurated in Tamulpur to Boost Sustainable Farming

KOKRAJHAR,MAY 26: Assam cabinet minister, Keshab Mahanta, along with Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) inaugurated the newly installed two High-Pressure DC Solar Pumps at Baltipar under the Nagrijuli Development Block in Tamulpur district on Monday.

The solar pumps were installed under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme. The project has been implemented by the Assam Energy Development Agency (AEDA) in collaboration with the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India.

This initiative aims to provide sustainable energy solutions for farmers, reduce dependency on conventional power and diesel, and promote energy efficiency and higher agricultural productivity.

MLA of Tamulpur LAC, Jolen Daimary, Special Chief Secretary Syedain Abbasi, District Commissioner of Tamulpur Pankaj Chakravarty, and other dignitaries also attended the event.

CEM Boro said that the inaugurated project will be benefited for the farmers of the areas.
